FSES has conducted Hazard Identification for the Fire & Gas System upgrade for the compressor enclosure as well as Constructibility Review, Maintainability Review and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study for the gas turbine at IUK Bacton facilities.
FSES carried out a Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Study on the Perenco – Tolmount expansion project. This work was conducted out of Costain’s offices in Manchester. Costains are the engineers to the project and thus FSES worked closely with them during this project on behalf of Perenco UK.
FSES has conducted detailed Hazard and Operability Study on the Saudi Aramco Safaniyah Offshore facilities as part of Offshore Maintain Potential program via KBR-AMCDE. This work has been delivered visa FSES Saudi Arabia based in Al Khobar KSA.
FSES was awarded and thus conducted various Safety Studies for the Saudi Aramco Hasbah II increment. These services included but not limited to PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Assessments, F&G Mapping, Building Risk Assessment, Escape Evacuation and Rescue Analysis and SIMOP.
A detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment of the facilities was also carried out which formed the complete HIPS study.
FSES conducted a detailed Hazard Identification workshop for mobilisation, transport, installation and commission of Karan TP-1 Aux platform.

FSES conducted an in-depth SIL Assessment by methods of Layers of Protection Analysis in order to evaluate the SIL target for a Ship to Ship break away Safety Instrumented Function. This would was conducted out of SHELL’s offices in London Waterloo.
FSES have conducted Hazard and Operability studies on Meraas facilities. This work was conducted in UAE.
FSES have provided consultancy services to KLAW Products on the SILSIS breakaway system. This is revolutionary breakaway system used for offshore ship to ship transfer and other similar applications. Services thus far include consultancy in meeting the requirements of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 for a SIL Capable System.
FSES conducted various Functional Safety consultancy services such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessment and Verification.
FSES provided various Functional Safety consultancy services for the Gas Analysis and Liquids measurement System. These services included but not limited to; Functional Safety Assessment and Audit, Failure Modes, Effect and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessment Studies.
FSES conducted Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study as well as consultancy services for the SSE Yokogawa DCS system at Atwick Gas Storage facilities in Yorkshire. This project was finalised in 2015 and delivered via OSL Consulting Engineers.

We started our working relationship with OSL Consulting Engineers in 2015 and have been supporting them in their Functional Safety and Engineering Safety needs ever since.
FSES consultants worked alongside Lagoni Engineering in support of their functional safety and control engineering requirements for a period of over a year on various National Grid projects and sites. Development of Functional Design Specification, Risk Assessments Reports, Proof Test Procedures as well as conducting site Maintenance activities in support of IEC 61511 claims is just some of the activities we were involved in.
The scope of this project was to conduct a Quantitative Risk Assessment for the entire Saudi Aramco Berri Offshore facility for the provision of High Integrity Protection System (HIPS) as means of overpressure protection where the wellheads are artificially lifted. This particular project presented various challenges regarding utilisation of test lines and de-rated piping network. FSES successfully delivered this project in March 2016, Berri HIPS Studies is considered one of the largest QRA assessment conducted as a single project.
